How do I repair my 1996 Whirlpool Imperial gas dryer?
The drum of my dryer turns (electric motor), but there is no heat (gas heat).
There could be a few different solutions but the most common is either the coils on the Gas Valve …. or the igniter.
By removing the lower panel below the door and watching when the dryer is started should give you an idea of what is going on. If you don’t see the igniter light up that may be your problem ….however don’t overlook simple things like your Door Switch, which may be loose and not closing {making contact} when the door is shut.
