Whirlpool 6th sense dryer not heating up?
I have a whirlpool 6th sense dryer which has been drying fine but is now not heating up also when i turn it on it is beeping at me have checked the filter and water bottle unsure why it stopped working would be gratful for any advice
have no idea why a dryer would have a water bottle.
it would seem like one of the heating elements is broken.
i believe most dryers have two heating elements. one for high heat
(that's regular) and one for low heat that's for delicates.
try using the low heat and see if you get any heat from it. if you do then the high heat element is probably bad. they're not all that hard to replace by yourself.
if it's over 7 years old you might want to consider getting a new one.
i personally would try to buy that part and replace it if that's the problem. you have to be a little handy though.
