My air conditioning unit won't turn on!?
I have a 2 year old Whirlpool AC window unit that won't turn on. The test/reset buttons work fine, and the little light on the plug lights up, but I can't get the actual unit to respond to me at all. I haven't done anything to it since last summer -- no heavy drops, no anything. What could be wrong with it?
Test the plug (spread the prongs if need be to fit tighter in the outlet)
Is the outlet getting power; Is a fuse blown. Is the fuse in the AC blown; (some have them some don*t)
Have yu checked to see if a bird has a nest in thre or maybe a wasp nest. Unplug it and reach in and turn the fan by hand to be sure it isn*t stuck somehow.
Unplug it and hose it off (if you can reach it from outside) then plug it back in again.
If all else fails. try the Mfg. toll free # or on line help and ask what to try. Hope this helps.
