Can anyone tell me about how much a Washer & Dryer weighs? ?
I have a Whirlpool/3.2 Cu Ft/3 yrs old. The moving company is telling me that they weigh about 1500lbs total and are charging me for being overweight on my total shipment. When we moved from Germany to Georgia we shipped 7800 lbs and this move states we shipped 11,020lbs. The only thing added to this shipment is a W&D, a computer desk, and a bookshelf (all from Wal-mart). I just don't think that this adds up to >3,000lbs. Thanks in advance.
Whirlpool will help you with the weight. Look up your model number on the website and call them if it is not there. All my stuff is Whirlpool. For the shelves and stuff, would it be better to sell them and buy new since it is likely only particle board. I don't like the sounds of how you are being treated. Sounds like you are getting railroaded; but that is just first impression shooting from the hip, which is how most questions are answered unless an email discussion takes place. Good luck.
