We bought an LG refrigerator yesterday .Are they dependable?If you own one,what do you think of it?
My refrigerator died yesterday and being the evening before Thanksgiving day We really had to get a replacement fast.So the Hubby and I ran out to Sears .We looked at all of the models in our price range and we werent really satisfied with any of them.We found an LG SxS on closeout because it was last years model.It was marked down from 1999. to 1299. Plus an additional 20% off.It is very nice .But I am worried ,that because we had to decide in a hurry, Maybe we should have stuck with a traditionally trusted name like Kenmore or Whirlpool.I ve tried looking online for a reveiw of this model and I cant find one.Model #LSC25945 sw. Anyway my last refrigerator was a lemon.It was actually part of a class action lawsuit against GE .I only had it for six years and had countless problems with it.So hubby said that since insurance was ended on it ,That he just wanted to replace it. I am just nervous because we had so much problems with the last one and it was a well known brand.
I don't own one, but a a neighbor does (not sure of the model), and he did a lot of research before he bought it, and since I haven't heard him grumble.... A lot of sites that allow folks to rate the product seem to give it high marks.
The bottom line is you bought it at Sears, and, in my experience, Sears is very good at standing by their products. I buy all my appliances at Sears, and if you are unsure of your warranty, you can always purchase an additional warranty/service plan from them (not that expensive, and often well worth it).
