As a new homeowner,I'm experiencing a moldy smell from the wall behind our washer and Dryer.?
Although, the dryer has a secure connection into the wall, I believe that the Dryer Duct is releasing moisture inside the wall. How can I find out for sure? How can I correct this problem?
Thanks everyone for all the help. FYI it is a brand new matching Washer Dryer with installation from Sears.
The Dryer Ducting should go straight through the wall or the hole must be sleeved.. Remember : The dryer makes a lot of heat if the outside wall is cold and not insulated you will get bad condensation and a perfect environment for mould and rot
