Why are electric kettles made from Stainless Steel?
I undersatnd why some electric kettles are made from usually white plastic on the outside, and that is because plastics are good insulators and the white material reflects heat (to keep the heat in the kettle). so why are they made from stainless steel aswel? because metals are conducters and so wouldnt it let all the heat out of the kettle? or does it radiate more heat from the outside into the kettle???? thanks for any help, i am quite confused. =D
Where the kettle is made from plastic, there is a stainless steel liner inside, to keep the liquids from getting the plastic smell and to allow for thorough cleaning. Where the outside is also stainless steel, there is insulation between the outside and the inside. They can be kept cleaner since stainless steel is scratch and stain proof unlike the plastic.
