Whirlpool Free Standing Gas Range question.?
I have Whirlpool Free Standing Gas Range, Model # SF315PEPW1, Serial # VER4001760. The oven will not heat up. It works occasionally but mostly it will not get hot at all. I need help with how to fix it. I have tried to look this up online but I keep getting different ideas. I've read that it might be the ignitor or something called the Bake Element. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. The more details the better. Thanks.
Although it could be the Oven Sensor, I'm betting that your problem is with the ignitor. What happens over time is the ignitor won't draw enough current to open the Gas Valve and ignite the gas. The part you need is Part #98005652, usually runs between 30 and 40 dollars. If you do decide to DIY, remember to unplug the appliance before servicing it.
