Young's Double Slit Problem?
In an experiment using microwaves, a double slit was set up with a separation of 0.05m. If the detector is moved round an arc centred on the slits and 1 m away from them calculate the separation of positions where no signal is received. The wavelength of the waves = 0.03m.
n λ = x d / L
λ is the wavelength of the light,
d is the separation of the slits,
n is the order of maxima observed (central maximum is n=0),
x is the distance between the bands of light and the central maximum (also called fringe distance), and
L is the distance from the slits to the screenλ is the wavelength of the light,
