Powder on dishes in Dishwasher. HELP!!!?
Ok, the house is 10 years old. We have a maytag plastic interior dishwasher. We have a 7 year old culligan Water Softener system,
The area has hard water but the water softener makes it softer.
The problem is we are seeing, powder residue on the dishes. We have tried that plastic booster but its coming back again.
1) Do we need a dishwasher with a stainless steel interior?
2) Do we need to turn the hot water up?
3) Clean the water softener? (Had water tested and its fine)
4) Any other ideas?
Help!!! Its driving our family nuts!
I've had this problem with my dishwasher, it seems almost like a film at times for me. So I got the Dishwasher Cleaner and ran that, and also switched to the Cascade all in one packs. That helped a lot. I've been told that it can happen if the detergent you are using has a rinse agent and you are also using a rinse agent ie: Jet Dry and then it actually doesn't get clean enough or something. Still a little confused about that part. But that worked for me! Good luck!
