Should I try to repair my leaking Washing Machine or just buy a new one?

I have a 4 year old Maytag Atlantis (Ensignia) top-load Washer, model MAV7757AWW. Water leaks from the bottom of the tub when observed with the covers off. Taking the thing apart to fix the leak may take some time and a lot of elbow grease, but it will at most cost about $50 (I hope). I've successfully repaired a washing machine in the past, but it was very frustrating and took a long time. What does everyone think?

Sorry to mention it, but the other well meaning folks dont have a nice blue hat between them.
Pop the top up with a putty knife and then remove a screw on either side that holds the front on and then run the washer and see where the water is coming from. Usually it is a hose that supplies water to the pump. If you dont find anything, tip the washer back and see if the pump itself is leaking.
