Please give me advice on my Kenmore Washer!?

My washer won't spin. Everything is normal except that it is not spinning really fast at the end of the cycle to squeeze out the water. It's one of those stackable ones that has the Dryer on top. Everything works fine, except the spinning, so my clothes come out very wet. I tried everything they say to try on it, like check the fuse, don't use detergent, and so on and so on, but nothing has worked. Should I call a repair man? I need to know if it would be worth fixing or I should just buy a new one. It costs money to have someone ocme look at it.

The simplest problem would be if the washer is no longer level and rocks around while washing. This would affect your spin cycle and is adjusted simply by adjusting the legs on the bottom. Screw as neccessary to level it off.If not,it could be several things. First of all most Kenmore washers do not use belts anymore, so parts could become expensive. Possible problems are, water Level Switch; drive motor; timer or gearcase. If you are handy, you can purchase a Repair Manual at Sears. To check many of these parts you need to be familiar with an ohmmeter which checks electrical continuity in parts. If this is beyond you, check in pennysaver or yellow pages for small appliance repairmen. Try to get an estimate out of him first to see if it is worth fixing. I figure it probably will be worth it since combined washerdryers are quite expensive. Good Luck!
