GE side by side icemaker problems?
I can hear the icemaker turning to get the ice our of the door but it seems to be struggling and does not come out easily. I don't want to burn the motor out. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this problem?
Thanks, but ice is getting into the bucket fine it's just struggling to come out of the door.
Your water line could be clogged, or kinked. If you have moved the refrigerator it may have kinked the supply line. Sometimes water sediment and chemicals build up in the lines not allowing sufficient water to come in to the Ice Maker. Contact someone who will take a look at the refrigerator and replace the line. Have your water tested free at a local home and garden store to determine the calcium and lime content. At least you'll know if this will happen again.
