humidifier has mineral build up on heating element. How do I get it off?
It sat in water for a few months and the heating element is covered with white crust. When I turn it on it doesn't heat up. I began to scrape it of with a knife but not sure it that's ok
try useing rubbing alcohol on it that is what my dad does, well both of them. if you dump 1/2 cup on it and then let it sit for 15 min then all you have to do is wipe it off with a bathroom or a beach towl then it should work fine. belive it or not my uncole and his new husbend used jim beam or jack danels, or a bottle or bicardi 151, it will eat it right off and then all you have to do is wipe it with a beach towl or a bathroom towl my uncole and his gay lover used to fight about wich one of the towls they were going to use next.
