1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse won't start?
The car hasn't been run for awhile. I've read that the Eclipse does not run the fuel pump unless it is cranking, so I did let it crank for a long while. And then topped off the battery with a charger.
The other symptom is that the fuel gauge reads *zero*. This is my sister's car, so I figured she ran it dry. I put in a gallon of gas, still reads zero and still won't start. Huh? So I put in another gallon. Still reads zero and won't start.
I checked the underhood fuses, they all look good. Could someone please tell me where:
- fuel pump test connector is? Supposed to be behind the battery, but I couldn't find it.
- fuel pump relay? Supposed to be on the firewall behind battery. There are three relays in a row on this car..
- inside fuse panel?

try pulling the pump and having it tested.Get a Repair Manual for instructions. Its pretty easy to do yourself
