$ is tight & trying to avoid a service-call. Just "de-moused" a model FGFB75DCC Electric Range. The 2 (rear) burners work fine. The 2 front gas-tubes were bent & ruined opening top (need replacing...lesson learned) but the electric-ignition works on the 2 burners still connected. So I know the gas & electric connections are ok. Now suddenly display won't light. More than once the oven took some good knocks getting moved around (more lessons learned) but all wires terminate normally &look ok. Not even a fault-code...just stays dark. Think I should replace the elec oven-ctrl or is there anything-else I should test? Found one on Ebay for ~$126. Thanks everyone.
when a display doesn't work there are only two things that will cause the problem. there is a bad electrical connection to the display or the display unit has some bad components.
