Frigidaire gas dryer only blows cool air? We checked ignitor and it glows red. Hmmm...Any good thoughts?
The Flame Sensor may broken even if it doesn't light, as the flame sensor works off the heat of the igniter coil to tell the magnetic coils on top of the valve to open the valve so the gas can flow. It could also be the coils that are no good. And strange as it may seem, I've also seen igniters that are bad even though they do glo. If there's a crack in the ceramic element it doesn't transmit as much voltage as it should through the element, (the cracked element makes a high resistance at the point of the crack). These are things to check.
