Help! 10 day old new Frigidaire Electric Range with Ceramic Cooktop cracked, by knocking over salt shaker?
Need help! Just purchased this frigidaire from "The Brick", when i went to salt my pasta water, my arm knocked over salt shaker ( was sitting on Stove Top )..huge crack. Burners will not work now. Company, both The brick and Frigidaire said it was abuse...what are the next steps I can take to get a new range..cant afford to buy another or cost ( $500+ ) to have repaired..thanks
It's either a fault in manufacture or a fault in installation. Manufacturing errors are beyond the scope of this answer but installation problems are usually from torquing or forcing the countertop stove into an un-level or too small rough out hole. If you didn't make it and you didn't install it, you aren't liable. Knocking over a salt shaker is not "abuse." Take them to small claims court if they are this intransigent.
