My frigidaire dishwasher will not drain, what do I do?
My dishwasher will go through the entire washing cycle but it will not drain itself.
Here are a couple of things to check:
If you just replaced the garbage disposer, the plug may not have been removed from the disposer.
Remove the hose from where it connects under the sink. Put the hose in a large pot and advance the dishwasher to a drain cycle. If water comes out (steadily), the plumbing is blocked.
Check to make sure the Drain Hose is not blocked.
If you can take the dishwasher out and remove the Drain Pump (the small pump), check to make sure nothing has gotten stuck inside.
If none of these, the drain motor is probably bad.
