Can you buy a reducer for a Dryer Vent?
We recently bought a house that has a 3" dryer vent (the vent that leads outside.) Flex hoses for dryers are 4". Can we buy a reducer, or should we just replace the outside vent? The dryer is electric.
You should definately just replace the vent. They are inexpensive, and you will definately damage your dryer if you change the outlet size. The previous owner's dryer was made to exhaust into a 3 inch duct, yours is designed for a 4 inch.
