Does fabric softener require some form of heat, either from a dryer or the sun, to work properly?
My wife uses softener in the wash machine's rinse cycle, but then hangs most of the cloths up in our laundry room to dry to save power and lower our carbon print. The problem is, sometimes things, like towels that she does not iron, feel stiff, as if coated with something waxy. Do you need heat for fabric softener to work properly?
when you line dry jeans or towels they are stiff so I would throw t hem in the dryer was told by a repair man that by not running the dryer for one solid month it will only save $5.00 on your electric bill personally I would rather use the dryer cause don't have extra time to go out to hang them on the line
