GE Dishwasher Impeller Stuck?
My dishwasher (GE) impeller/motor do not turn. I think a piece of glass got wedged in the impeller. How do I get to the impeller in order to remove the glass. I removed the pump/motor, however, there is a spring at the end of the shaft. How do I remove that spring. Special tool? Please help.
Try to free the unit up by turning the cooling fins in the motor. This style GE is prone to this happening. The two faces (ceramic) of the pump seals stick together. If that doesn't work you will need a new motor/pump (come as unit)... Probably replace the dishwasher...
