what do you think of all the worthless technology we have now ?

1 ) Cell Phones (I rarely talk on mine)
2 ) Computers / Internet (The best thing since "Television". It's both good and bad.)
3 ) Ipods / I Phones (Who the heck needs them ? I only listen to music when I'm at home.)
4 ) Digital Cable (400 channels and nothing is ever on.)
5 ) HD DVD vs. Blu-Ray war (DVDs suck. I could care less about bonus material, audio commentary, and all of that crap. VHS tapes are less fragile than DVDs.)
6 ) CDs (Want to know the truth ? Vinyl has better sound.)
7 ) Cordless Phones (They're ok. But not when the power goesd out. They become useless.)
8 ) Digital Cameras (They're too damn complicated. Why must a camera have so many buttions on it ?)
9 ) The "new" Televisions (Why have they become a pain to set up ? Setting one up is like setting up a computer.)
10 ) Digital ovens , Digital dishwashers, digital washers and dryers. WHAT NEXT ? Digital toasters ?

I think most of those gadgets may be useful for some people and useless for others. I think it's sad though how many people believe they must have every damn gadget that comes on the market.

1 ) Cell Phones - I rarely use mine, but it can come in handy sometimes and it can be good for safety to have one. I've been stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken car and I've gotten injured in the middle of nowhere. I don't panic though if I forget it at home, I can easily get through the day without it, unlike some people.

2 ) Computers / Internet - Very useful for many things, such as finding information, but they are also bad. The internet can be dangerous (especially for kids), computers and the internet can be addictive and soak up way too much of your time.

3 ) Ipods / I Phones - I'm not sure exactly what features there are in IPhones, but I think it's nice to have a small gadget with music in it. I use my mp3 player when travelling or when using public transport to get to/from work (quite a distance). It helps make "dead time" on transport less dead and it helps me relax too.

4 ) Digital Cable (400 channels and nothing is ever on.) - I think it's utterly useless to have so many channels. I can understand having a few channels for some variety, but if they get to many people end up just flipping channels and not finding anything. I think watching TV can be such a waste of time anyway, with some exceptions of course.

5 ) HD DVD vs. Blu-Ray war - I have no idea what the heck that is about. I think DVDs are better than VHS though. It comes in handy to be able to switch languages/subtitles in a home like mine where many languages are used.

6 ) CDs (Want to know the truth ? Vinyl has better sound.) - CDs are fine, I love them.

7 ) Cordless Phones - I generally hate phones and don't like talking on them, but the cordless ones are the best though. You can actually do something while talking on the phone, move freely between rooms and you don't have a cable to trip over all around the house. I never forget to recharge it before the battery dies, so that's really not an issue for me.

8 ) Digital Cameras - I don't like them. The old fashioned cameras make much better photos. There is a huge difference in quality. You need an insanely expensive professional digital camera to get similar quality like an average, rather cheap old fashioned camera. Digital cameras can be better under some circumstances though I guess, like when you need the photos immediately or are taking photos of moving objects.

9 ) The "new" Televisions - They take up less space, but sadly consume more electricity. I don't have a problem tuning the channels in.

10 ) Digital ovens , Digital dishwashers, digital washers and dryers. WHAT NEXT ? Digital toasters ? - I bet digital toasters already exist. Sometimes digital technology can be useful or comfortable to work with, but there are some things that I still prefer the old way.
