what can I do about a dent in the front panel of a used dishwasher?
I purchased a white d/Washer from a lady on Craig's list for 100 The pics looked good.And she said she rarely used it.We drove 45 mi to pick it up and her hubby said she had a panel ordered for the d/w because of the dent.It is small but noticeable.Could not find a model or serial number on the machine but it was very clean and well maintained.We have replaced the Control Panel on ours 3 times and now the price for the part is 175.It was hot and my son and I had driven a long way so I went ahead and got it even though I think she was deceptive by not mentioning the dent.My question is what can I cover it with.Wood or a Stainless Steel liner.What can I do in case she is lying about the panel.The dent was not in the picture on craig's list.So I may be screwed and that is ok but I need some ideas from anyone thanks so much. oh and i can't order a panel cause there is no model number anywhere on it.serious answers only please
If the lady said she had a panel on order then perhaps she has the model number and serial number. There's got to be a model number on it somewheres. Many different models may share the same cosmetic panels and perhaps if you can remove the dented one, then you can take that in to an appliance repair shop for them to match it up. For a last resort, you could always bondo it, sand prime and paint like you would with a car dent.
