Digital Fridge

I would like to know if I should use some Kodak Porta 400 and Ilford 400 films that I have bought last June (2008) and kept them in the fridge. They haven't expired yet but I took them out of the fridge a couple of times and Never Used them (I shot with my digital cam instead). Even when outside they were always kept away from heat and sun. Do you think that the fact they have been in and out of the fridge made them less reliable or they should be ok?
