My marble slab is 1/2" too short for my vanity. Can i put a backsplash behind the counter to make up the 1/2"?
The depth of my vanity is a 21 1/2 " and the marble slab is 21". Would it work to use a backsplash out of the same material and place it behind the counter instead of resting on top of it, in order to fill the 1/2" gap? Or would this cause problems with water pooling or dripping into the wrong areas?
you can buy the backsplash at home depot. but when you install it leave just enough of the top so the backsplash will sit on top of it. you can use clear silicone at the seam. some of the silicone will ooze out, just leave it til its dry[next day] and then scrape it off
