Shower above cornered whirlpool tub?
Is it possible to install a standard shower above a cornered whirlpool bath tub?
If so, is it unusual? Also, what about a shower curtain?

If you have enough room to stand in the whirpool and if it does not interfere with you getting in and out since a whirpool tub is usually deeper than you can add a shower to it. There are some shower units that may be installed over your existing rough in so that if you cannot get to the back of your tub some that come to mind are Grohe, and Kohler they can be pricey but you get quality as far as an enclosure look to add something to the design of the room as you can add an end wall the possibly some glass doors there are some shower systems known as Rain Heads and that would reduce the amount of water on your floor. Best suggestion is to shop at some local plumbing supply houses and tell them what you want. you can check out Home Depot or the other large chains but I believe what you will make up in savings you will lose on quality and information for the right system just for you. Remember if you do put in a shower do install a grab bar as it is required by law and it is a smart thing to do if you should or someone else should slip.
