What are your favorite things to bake in your convection oven?
I've had it for nearly a year now and I've only really used it for a couple of things. Help me out here! Dish up the recipes!
I just ordered one. I haven't received it yet but I went on the internet and got some recipes. You can cook anything in it that you cook in a regular oven. But, if you are baking something that takes over 15 minutes to bake, bake it at 50 degrees lower than in a regular oven. My husband passed away a couple of months ago and I bought the convection counter top model so I didn't have to use the regular oven for my meals. I eat a lot of lean cuisines and don't want to use the Microwave or the big oven to cook them. Here are a couple of recipes I got off the net.
PANLESS CHICKEN PER PERSONPrinted from COOKS.COM 1/2 fryer chicken per person1 sm. white onion per person1/2 stick (4 tbsp.) butter per personSalt & pepper to tasteHeavy duty wide aluminum foilFor each person wrap 1/2 chicken, 1 onion, 1/2 stick of butter in a generous sheet of aluminum foil. Fasten ends and center fold tightly. Handle carefully so that aluminum foil is not punctured (a hole will mean a messy oven and dried-out chicken). Place each correctly wrapped bundle in a moderate, 300 degree, oven and bake for 45 minutes or more. Carefully unwrap the bundle when ready to serve and pour the juice over rice or potatoes. Since there is a bundle per person, each person can eat at his convenience. These bundles may be refrigerated and reheated. Excellent for camping, bachelor life or families on the go.
