I moved but have same washer, new dryer. IF I go outside a bad smell comes from clothes. If inside fine. Help?
Clothes smell great when out of dryer. Same detergent etc. Never happened before I moved. Seems to happen as soon as clothes exposed to air. Happens in warm or cold weather.
Happens to anyone who uses the washer/dryer. I wish it was the washer to blame but scared it has something to do with water supply. New house. Upscale neighborhood.
If you suspect the water, I would add a water purifier to the line to see if that reduces or eliminates the odor on your clothing. Water softeners tend to also be purifiers, so it might be worth considering a Water Softener (assuming you don't already have soft water).
