How can I remove molten plastic from the surface of an electric Stove Top?
I accidentally left a plastic ring on the stove top for a moment after making tea using one of the elements. It's a modern oven without those coils on top as elements but it appears as one flat surface. After I removed the plastic item it left some marks behind on the burner and I'd like to remove it somehow. I tried taking a wet wire scrubber and trying to rub it out with that but it didn't seem to make a difference.
Can anyone out there suggest a method for cleaning the marks off?
Use a razor scraper. This is what many manufacturers recommend to get spills off. Mine even came with one. Use a sharp blade and you should be able to get it. Then clean the top with Cerama Bryte and it will be good as new. Hope this helps.
